ABOUT US
Slovenian Association of Atheists (=Združenje ateistov Slovenije ,ZAS) is an informal association of people with their own Programmatic Statement and internal Regulations. It was established in Maribor, Slovenia on 27th October 2008. The goal of the ZAS is to implement ideas, which are enshrined in the Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UN, 1948) and Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (Council of Europe, 1998) listed below in the Statement.
PROGRAMMATIC STATEMENT
of the " Slovenian Association of Atheists” (ZAS):
'Association of Slovenian atheists "(ZAS), is working to promote in Slovenia and internationally a materialistic conception of man, society and nature. It is also committed to the values expressed in the Universal Declaration of Human rights (UN, 1948) and the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (Council of Europe, 1998).
WE support the scientific education, critical thinking and evidence-based understanding of the natural world in the quest to overcome religious superstition.
